Join us for a Christmas Eve Candlelight Service on December 24th at 6:00pm
We received word from Pastor Jon’s family that he succumbed to his pneumonia this afternoon. Jon and Kathy have been bulwarks of the LCMC Texas District for years, and St. John’s Thrall has lost the shepherd of their flock. Please pray for the Bielfeldt family, St. John’s, and remember Jon and Kathy fondly.
Arrangements have not yet been completed for Jon. We will alert you when we have more information.
“For we know that when this earthly tent we live in is taken down (that is, when we die and leave this earthly body), we will have a house in heaven, an eternal body made for us by God himself and not by human hands. We grow weary in our present bodies, and we long to put on our heavenly bodies like new clothing.” – 2 Corinthians 5:1-2
What a great day Trinity had supporting WRFTF. We have put together a short video of the day https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=03F5PnUCNjM
It’s now official. At a Sunday congregational meeting, Trinity Lutheran Church issued a call to Pastor Darrin Trammell and he accepted. Welcome Pastor Darrin and his wife Laura, we have great things happening, come and see us on Sunday at 9:30am. We will have new office hours starting on August 16th, or you can call the church office at 979-826-3865
On Saturday August 14th, Trinity showed up to help get 800 shirts folded for the WRFTF (Watermelon Run for the Fallen) which will be held on Saturday, August 21st at the Hempstead High School stadium. Come out on Saturday and help support our vets and the runners in the 5K. Here is the link to their Facebook page for more information. https://www.facebook.com/Watermelonrftf/
On Friday, August 13th, Trinity delivered 360 breakfast tacos to 7 local Hempstead schools, including Hempstead ISD High School, Middle School, Elementary and Early Childhood. We also delivered to Learning Tree, Community Christian Academy and Children’s Choice. Good Luck on your upcoming year. 35 dozen eggs, 10 lbs of sausage, 8 lbs of bacon and 360 tortillas.
Hempstead volunteered to manage the Watermelon Eating and Seed Spitting Contest on July 24th. It was a hilarious good time with a lot of bulging cheeks. We had to have a “spitoff” on the seed spitting contest because they were both hitting the wall and move to another direction. Congratulations to the winners and all who participated.
